The Whole Hog opens at 8 AM, but if you're after the main attractions, you'll have to wait until 9 AM for the food and donuts to be ready. You can grab a coffee or maybe a sugar doughnut in the meantime, but the real stars need a bit more prep time. Donuts are 3.50 and sandwiches are 8.50, both impressively large. The staff is super friendly, and while there's nowhere to sit inside, the food is perfect for takeaway. The pork sandwich with cracklin' is juicy, slathered in gravy, and absolutely delicious!

The best raspberry donuts I have ever tasted. Thanks for saving me one. The weight, consistency, crunch, OMG, if I lived in Lyme I would be donut shaped ;) thank you so much Cheryl and Bayley x

Love this place so much! Every time my family and I visit Devon/Dorset we make sure to grab a Whole Hog. The hog roast is superb, full of flavour, freshly cooked and the service is always quick. The doughnuts are brilliant too! The tiny shop front has a quirky design but it’s easily hidden as it’s on the main road with a narrow pavement, so be sure not to miss it on your way through Lyme! It’s a must if you’re in the area.

Had a quick stop here for doughnut takeaway before catching the bus back to Axeminster. We ordered salted caramel honeycomb and plain sugar. These were the best handmade doughnuts we've ever had! Generous, melt-in-your-mouth fillings, not too sweet...super yummy doughnuts! Highly recommended.

Wanted to have one of their gorgeous looking pork rolls for some time. Today timings worked. Was I disappointed—NO I WAS NOT!!! This was the fullest, tastiest, best quality pork (hog) roll I have ever eaten. Plus of course the raspberry donut for later. Extremely friendly owner who was a delight to chat to so I will return!! If you are in the area forget the other eateries-!

The most amazing pulled pork baps ever! Lovely meat, great crackling. Served with gravy, stuffing and apple sauce with a doughnut to finish. Not the cheapest of lunches but absolutely worth it! Lovely team running it too.

The food was absolutely amazing. I had the hog roast bap to start with, which I highly recommend, especially as it had bits of crackling in it. I'd have liked the roast chicken but they had run out by the time I went, part of me wanted to mark them down a little for this but really not willing to take away a whole star because they faced high demand in the summer. I also had a Nutella filled doughnut which was amazing. They fill their doughnuts fresh in the morning and have lots of delicious flavours. I wanted to go Nutella, the lady did inform me that she'd run out, I was just about to decide on a different filling when she kindly said she could do fill one for me. They keep some empty and fill them as and when people request fillings. Definitely a satisfied customer and recommend people try it if they go there on holiday. Sorry for the average score on atmosphere, the little take away window and shop was beautiful but when you're eating on the street the atmosphere is what you make of it, not really down to the store.

One of our favourite spots when we visit Lyme! Monmouth coffee is delicious and makes the perfect combo when paired with their doughnuts. We always stop by and grab one of their rolls before a big coastal path hike - it's the perfect start to the day with delicious choices.
